For this year in photography I have had a great experience. Not just from the people in the class or the coolest teacher around (Chhaaggss) but also everything I learned in the class itself. At the beginning I didn't know what I expected the class to be like but it turned out to be better than anything I could have imaged. From learning new photoshop tricks to amazing ways to turn a photo into something beautiful just by changing a few angles. I had many favorite moments and projects in this class but my top three would have to be the gradient portrait, glitch art and the light paintings. The gradient portrait combined taking a photo, photoshop and painting all in one which I enjoyed a lot. Also I believe mine came out pretty well. This project consisted of so many different skills and techniques I believe it was the most skill needed project. First we needed to have a good photo we took to use. Then needed to change it around and fix it up in photoshop. Ending with doing hands on art, painting. It really used a wide set variety of techniques that all played an important part in making the assignment what it is today. Next was glitch art, which once I learned it, it was extremely easy yet made pictures so different. Our last project, light paintings, was definitely one of the best. It made us think of creative and cool patterns and ideas while also having a hands on experience all together as a class. Not even the light projects I created, but everyone else's were so awesome to watch happen. This project was also the project I connected to the most because I believe people could really express themselves. Even though we had a short amount of time and many people to get through I really think the light paintings created were sparked by the minds of all of us. Over all this class has been an imaginative journey that I have very much loved and would go through again. Art has always been something i'm interested in and this class has just peaked my interest even more. From shadow photography at the beginning of the year to the kaleidoscope project, everything I am proud of. I truly believe this portfolio shows my escapade throughout the year in a small period seven photography class.
